Barista – this is a part time, compensated position
Coffee Company Baristas support the mission of the Library through their service at Elizabethtown Coffee Company. Baristas are responsible for providing high levels of customer service to Coffee Company customers, making & serving high quality beverages, maintaining a clean & welcoming environment, providing fingerprinting services, and answering basic Library questions.
Bookkeeper & Office Assistant – this is a part time, compensated position
This position involves processing invoices, generating financial & statistical reports, reconciling bank records, and other general office functions. This person needs to be fluent in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and competent with email functions.
Children’s Services Assistant – this is a volunteer position
The Children’s Services Assistant will support the Library mission to children and their families by providing customer service to Library users, preparing for story times and other programming events, coordinating various children’s activities, and more.
Collection Associate – this is a volunteer position
The Collection Team is responsible for the lending collection of the Library. Much work goes into selecting materials to lend to the Greater Elizabethtown Community. This associate will have the opportunity to help with selecting materials, getting them ready to lend to the public, maintenance & repair of materials, and inventory.
Computer Helper – this is a volunteer position
Many people use the Library who have no other access to computers or personal devices. Development Associate – this is a volunteer position
Elizabethtown Public Library is a nonprofit organization. We rely heavily on funds raised through our annual appeal, special appeals, grant applications and fundraising events. If you would like to work as part of our Development Team, please click this link to apply.
Friends of the Library Bookstore Clerk – this is a volunteer position
The Friends of the Library Bookstore is open when the Library is open. If you would like to staff the bookstore during the week, please complete the attached application and someone will be in touch about scheduling a time for you to work.
Friends of the Library Book Sorter & Book Sale – this is a volunteer position
Many hours of work go into preparing inventory for the bookstore and sorting books for the annual book sale.
Library Services Generalist – this is a part time, compensated position
The Library is looking for a part time team member to join the circulation team. This customer service person works directly with the public answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with technology challenges. This person helps with circulating, shelving, and retrieving materials to and for customers. This is an active, standing position and is great for someone who can change tasks quickly and think on their feet. This person is on the front line of helping people make their dreams come true.
Public Relations Coordinator – this is a volunteer position
This person will be involved in rebuilding the Library’s publication and media guides. He or she will create content for traditional methods of marketing and social media avenues. This person will engage with programming coordinators and will have the opportunity to help plan as well as publicize Library programs and events.
Youth Services Program Assistant – this is a volunteer position
The Youth Services Program Assistant will help with preparations for youth services planning, coverage of the youth services area during programming and assisting families visiting the youth services Library as they pursue their purpose for vising the Library.
