Elizabethtown Public Library will be closed on Friday, February 3 in preparation for Taste of Western Lancaster County which takes place that evening here at the Library. We will open at noon on Saturday, February 4.
*NOTE* Identogo fingerprinting services are not available when the Library is Closed. If there is a mix-up with your appointment time, we will do our best to make it right.
Parking & Getting Here
To access the Library’s parking lot turn off of West High Street into the municipal parking lot. The Library lot will be to your left, parking in the Library lot is free while you are using the Library.
If the Library lot is full, there is plenty of parking available in the municipal metered parking lots. Elizabethtown Borough meters are 5¢ per hour. Some meters will take nickels and dimes (two hour time limit), others will also take quarters (five hour time limit).
There are additional municipal parking lots located within two blocks of the Library. Some of these lots offer free parking.
There is a limited amount of street parking available in front of the Library. Most of these meters have a two hour limit.
If you are so unfortunate, as much of the Library Team has been, to receive a parking ticket from the borough you may pay your parking fine in the yellow box located near the front of the Coffee Company on the sidewalk. Currently parking tickets are $10.
The closest lots to the Library are indicated on the map. There is limited parking directly behind the Library and on the street.
During special events, this space is reserved for vehicles with handicap placards.
Some lots have parking meters. Parking is 5¢ per hour. Meters take coins only and meters have various time limits. More about downtown parking can be found on Elizabethtown Borough’s website.
