Celebrating Pete Seeger Concert

Pete Seeger singing with banjo

Monday, July 22nd 2019

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Come together for an evening of music at the Library! May 2019 was the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pete Seeger and we invite you to remember him with a group of local musicians. They will share Pete’s incredible contributions to advancing social justice, peace, solidarity, and the environment, as well as play his best-known works.

Pete Seeger was one of the most influential musicians in U.S. history, a musician who sang “people’s songs,” one who was mentored by Woody Guthrie, one who always encouraged people to sing together/sing-along.  So bring your friends and enjoy a musical evening!
This concert is free of charge, you are welcome to contribute to the musicians if you choose. Will take place in the Lower Level of the Library.  Registration is preferred, walk-ins are welcome.
