Elizabethtown Public Library is a 3M Cogent Fingerprint location!

If you are seeking employment or a volunteer position working with children, you will most likely need to have an FBI fingerprint background check completed. Fingerprinting takes place in Elizabethtown Coffee Company, a Department of the Library. Appointments are not necessary. Fingerprinting is available during regular Library hours, the best times to appear are below.

Best Fingerprinting Hours:

Monday 12:30pm – 7:30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday  9:30am – 7:30pm
Friday & Saturday 9:30am – 12:30pm

If you are planning to bring a large group please call ahead to let us know, so that we can have enough Team members available to accommodate your group.

Follow these Steps to have your fingerprinting completed:

You will need to register at before arrival at the Library. When registering please ensure that the information you enter is correct. If you make a mistake, you will have the ability to go back in and make changes on your own, however we are not permitted to make changes for you.

Bring the following with you:

You will need to bring the registration ID number that the 3M Cogent website provided to you when you registered. You may print your registration or simply show us your registration on your smart phone when you come in to get your prints done.

You will also need to bring a valid driver’s license or state photo identification card.

Approximately $3 of your registration fee is returned to the Library for our fingerprinting services. We are grateful to Elizabethtown Borough and the Municipalities of Mount Joy and West Donegal for helping us get fingerprinting services set up at the Library.
