Special Experiences
The Library is more than a place to find your next book or movie. We have fun & unique events and programs which occur throughout the year. Some of these are educational, some are celebratory, and some are about having a great time with people in our community. Check out the list of Special Experiences below and you can also click here to see all upcoming programs and events at the Library.
Book Sales
Enjoy reading and want to keep the book instead of returning it? Then come to one of the Library’s Book Sales! These Book Sales are a great opportunity to find good books and more at an affordable price and help support the Library.
The 2024 September Book Sale is set to take place from Tuesday, September 3 through Saturday, September 7. The sale will be open from 2pm to 7pm on Tuesday, 9am to 7pm Wednesday through Friday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday. The first day of the sale, September 3, is a preview day. Admittance is $10 per person regardless of age, or people with a Friend’s membership can enter for free. Every other day of the sale has no entrance fee.
If you are looking to shop for books, movies & more now, come to the Friends of the Library Bookstore. Their bookstore is open during Library hours so that you have the opportunity to buy some entertaining and educational materials while supporting the Library year round! For more information about the Friends of the Library and their bookstore, visit their page here.
Annual Craft Fair with a Small Business Flair

We are pleased to host local artisans, crafters, and small business vendors annually! Our Craft Fair with a Small Business Flair will have unique items offered for sale, including upcycled crafts, jewelry, doll clothes, handmade items, holiday items, wood crafts, unique cards, and wonderful gifts. The Craft Fair is always a great time to come to the Library, as the Friends’ Book Sale, Elizabethtown Coffee Company specials, and other programs typically occur during this awesome weekend.
The Craft Fair will be held on Friday, September 6 from 4pm to 8pm, and Saturday, September 7 from 9am to 4pm.
